We’ve just come back from a week in Tenerife and the main reason that Maria wanted us to fly – winter sun!  It was wonderful to be able to sunbathe after 4.5 hours .  We flew BA and were delayed a little both there and back, both of us were a bit uncomfortable on the flight even though we had extra leg room on an emergency exit.  It’s a long time for that kind of seating.  The hotel was all inclusive and very comfortable, great fun as well and loads of experiences.  Lots of places to sunbathe and no towels at dawn!  We’ve never been all inclusive and it was an endless buffet, nice enough but a week was long enough!  I think that for this type of holiday you have to throw yourself into it and get into the spirit – Elton John tribute act and all!  It doesn’t work to be too critical……

We escaped from the compound as well and went on a lovely coastal walk and swim and also swam in the sea at Playa Las Americas on the one windy day.
