I have a gripe about BA! As a bronze member (ahem, so much flying this year) I can book my seat choice free a week before I fly. Twice recently when I have then checked in 24 hours beforehand I have been moved. As a nervous flyer it’s really important to me that I know where I’m sitting and I like to sit as near to the hallowed blue curtain as I can.
I can’t get any sense out of BA about this. You can only complain and ask for a refund if you have paid for seat choice. Next time it happens I’ll phone them up when I check in. All they could say was that it was ‘operational reasons’ – what’s that? We were moved to row 19 from 11 but there still was a row 11 – Humph!
That aside Malaga was lovely for the two nights three days we were there. We went with friends and also know people there. We saved the indoor activities like museum (CAC – very good) and cathedral for our last day when we knew there would be a thunderstorm. Apart from that we were walking around and sitting outside.
The flights were all good (7:30 am depart!) apart from the seating. My last flight of the year coming up – Copenhagen – Brrrrrrrrr!
Great sign in CAC
Our hotel was amazing! very central, right next to the cathedral, and friendly staff who upgraded us and gave us vouchers for free cava in the bar. Would recommend
We went to copenhagen in december and it is truly wonderful. The foodmarkets are amazing, especially the rustic one that is on an island.
Amazing second hand shop near the famous jazz bar in town where i bought my wonderful coat. And tivoli gardens is fun.
